Living
@ KLCC
Kuala Lumpur City Centre or KLCC as it is commonly
called by the locals is a mega development launched
in 1992. With the idea of a city within a city,
KLCC is an integrated mixed development, comprising
1.67 million sq. metres of commercial, residential
and retail. At the center of it all stands the
iconic Petronas Twin Towers, which until recently
was the worlds tallest building.
As one of the best-planned projects in the country,
boasting a 50-acre landscaped park,
elegantly-designed mosque, the newly-opened KL
ConventionCentre, Mandarin Oriental Hotel and grade
A commercial buildings, KLCC has emerged as one of
the most sought after addresses for both commercial
and residential. Not surprisingly, dozens of new
upmarket condominiums and serviced apartments have
been launched in recent times to cater to the ever
increasing demand.
Based on feedback from our Business Space and
Expatriate Leasing divisions, we can conclude that
most businesses, new start-ups and home buyers want
to be as close as possible to KLCC. This has led to
a surge in demand for residential properties in the
KLCC area.

Owning a property in KLCC has become a dream for
many of us. Numerous developments boasting
thousands of units have been launched in recent
years, and more are believed to be in the pipeline.
The question arises on whether the market can
sustain the sudden surge in these upmarket units,
most of them being priced at over RM1.5million.
Some even as high as RM12mil for a penthouse
unit.
Our answer to the million dollar question is a
resounding YES as KLCC is irrefutably the prime
property hotspot of the nation. If the premium
pricing of property is not enough to convince you,
then consider the quality of the developments that
have materialised in the vicinity of KLCC. With
prices already breaking the RM1,600psf mark and
fresh frontiers in luxurious living being opened
with each new project launch, there is a growing
belief that residences in the Golden Triangle will
someday be on par with world renowned residential
enclaves such as Hyde Park in London and Central
Park in New York. This is the best address in
Malaysia!
